After being diagnosed with melanoma in 2007, Founder & CEO Melissa Leach struggled to find key holiday wardrobe pieces reflecting her own personal style, an elevated esthetic and adequate sun protection.
Melissa worked in London on the business side of Fashion for 15+ years with a number of influential British designers, most notably Burberry and Jimmy Choo. Drawing from her experience in the fashion industry and punctuated by her move to Bermuda, she decided to create a refined collection of swimwear with an elegant, minimalist style focusing on sun protection and sustainability.
Inspired in Bermuda and ethically made in New York, Factor subscribes to the concept of slow fashion. We believe in timeless, seasonless style.
